The debut single by Moscow's Private Entertainment is coming along quicker than expected! I am thinking a September release
date is not completely out of the question. Very excited about this one! I just added a page for the single to the releases
section, check it out and download one of the cuts.
Mi Ami's newest 12" is out now, distro copies are en route to the White Denim compound as I type this. Look for an update
on that in the next week or so.
Stay cool in the summer!

Aufgehoben's newest full-length, 'Khora', is out now on Holy Mountain! Some quicker cuts and an epic closer, more
of that great guitar-rubbed-against-a-grindstone style we've come to love from Aufgehoben.
Here's a cool article (in Italian) about Mi Ami, nice picture by Shawn Brackbill too. Great things are expected for these
boys for the rest of 2008 and beyond!

Lots of excellent news to report, even as gas is creeping over $4 a gallon and I've got a sprained knee.
Confirmed for release on White Denim is the debut 7" single by Private Entertainment, a
fine duo from Moscow. Theirs is a cold, monochromatic sound, tickling the same chin-hairs as Haus Arafna or Portion
Control. Perhaps you have heard their material on 'The Wierd Compilation Vol. II' or 'Doppel Herz', both fine compilations, but soon
they will finally get a chance to stretch out a bit on their own slice of wax. No estimated release date yet, but certainly
expect it this year. Perhaps the perfect Halloween present in the making?
Mi Ami are about to release their second 12", 'Ark of the Covenant', later this month! It is coming out on their
in-house label, Lovers Rock. I will be stocking
some copies for sale here when it's out, please check back soon!
Here's a cool video interview with Jason Willett of Leprechaun Catering. Please, if ever get a chance, listen to him
speak.
Finally, the new Eddy Current Suppression Ring album 'Primary Colours' is available now on CD! Vinyl is coming any week
now, I've been told. They started their own label too (what's up with bands these days? trying to put us label-labels out of business?) so
that's the first place I recommend you look: Aarght!
That's all for now! Besides Private Entertainment, another release is currently being hammered down, expect an update
on that soon. Possibly the ugliest record White Denim will ever do, which is saying a lot.

Hello folks. I won't be filling any new orders from May 10th through May 31st, so you may want to hold off
until June to catch up on your normal serving of Aufgehoben and Pay Toilets vinyl. White Denim will be galavanting
throughout most of Europe during this time, in search of eye-opening experiences and the world's greatest
veggieburger. Hopefully I'll have some upcoming release info to share upon my return!

'African Rhythms' is sold out! Thanks everyone! It might still be around in certain stores / distros, keep
an eye out if you missed out.

Mi Ami are still killing it in Cali', lots of gigs and DJ events for those in the San Fran area and all nearby cities
to enjoy. Keep checking their MySpace page for updates, they've got lots going on. Down to only a couple dozen 12"s left,
nice to see all sorts of folks digging it! I believe another 12", to be released by the band, is in the works as well.
Speaking of 12" vinyl, Menstruation Sisters finally have another full-length geared up for release on No Fun Productions, really
psyched to check that out. One of the few groups capable of turning back time!
As for White Denim, the next release still isn't set in stone, but things are being sorted out, as always. As soon as I've
got anything pinned down, it'll be posted here. See you around!

Mi Ami are killing it on tour right now, and will be in Detroit on February 22nd with White Denim almunus Mammal. Such
a killer gig! Please do attend if possible.
In other news, I'll be playing some records on WKDU this Thursday, February 21st, from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.
I'm guesting on my pal Scott's excellent weekly show, Music For Your Meth Lab. Take
one look at the prior playlists and you know this is as legit as it gets. There's streaming audio on the site too, so your
only excuse for not listening is sleep.

Mi Ami's debut 12", 'African Rhythms', is available now! Head over to the catalog link at your right to order. Really
excited about this one! The boys will have it available with them on their upcoming tour this week and next, so please
feel free to pick it up straight from them if you'll be catching them live. I know I will!
Speaking of Mi Ami, they made Dusted Magazine's "Destined" list, which means they get a lovely write-up that does them
more justice than my limited vocabulary ever could. Check it out here.

Alright, it's still 2008, here's the skinny on White Denim's roster:
- Mi Ami just got a sweet write-up in the San Francisco Guardian here, and
their debut 12" should be available within the next few weeks. They are headed through Chicago and to the East
Coast in February, blazing up clubs and living rooms along the way, which is an exciting thought for a variety of people.
The dates are all listed on their MySpace page, sharing bills
with Food For Animals, Pissed Jeans, President and a whole lot more. See you there!
- Aufgehoben recently performed at the Freenoise F'reaction Festival, and they've
already got their gears grinding on their fifth studio album, set for release on Holy Mountain this year. Check out a cool
interview with them via Delusions of Adequacy too,
both informative and fun. Love these guys!
- Eddy Current Suppression Ring have a new album due out in early 2008 as well, and it's sure to be great! It's to be released
on a new label ran by Eddy Current himself, and will hopefully feature wider distribution for all my stateside friends who
had to jump through some crazy mail-order hoops to get the first album. They will
be continuing their domination of Australia with a tour to support the new album this March as well, it's enough to provoke
jealousy in this otherwise calm White Denim newscaster. I'm still trying to wring another single out of these guys,
so keep your prayers with me!
- Leprechaun Catering are still doing their thing, and they tore a few circuits loose at the Bank in Baltimore last night. Still
waiting on their Public Eyesore debut, I will post an update whenever I hear the news.
- Air Conditioning are laying low at the moment, kinda like that Cloverfield monster.
- Popular Shapes are still broken up. You're not alone, I'm hurting too.
- Pissed Jeans still haven't signed with White Denim, they are asking for such a huge advance and personal assistants. I'm still
working on the contract wording, fingers crossed!
Besides all that, you may have noticed that there is nothing on the horizon besides the Mi Ami 12". To quote Willie Dee, wrong
answer again! I am in talks with an excellent new Philadelphia punk band, and there should be a 7" out with them sometime
this spring if all goes as planned. The name will be revealed at a later date; I gotta keep you coming back to this site somehow, right?
Oh, and if you care, I uploaded my personal "Best of 2007" singles and albums in a handy text file, accompanied by my "Best of 2006"
lists, just for continuity's sake. Check it out here and then send me an email to tell me about all the great music I totally missed. I know
there's plenty!
Peace and health in 08!

2008! We're here! White Denim hasn't forgotten about you, just took it easy for the holidays. Back to work!
A larger update is coming shortly, but for now I can say that the Mi Ami record is in the pipeline and should
be available in the next few weeks! Exciting stuff. They will be touring the East Coast in February as well,
I will be sure to get those dates posted soon. Have fun!
