Last update of the year!
Tom of Leprechaun Catering was nice enough to spread some yuletide cheer with some video footage of his
Christmas tree. If you thought it impossible to include a modular synthesizer in a douglas fir... think again: Tom's Christmas Tree
Aufgehoben's single is having a slight delay, as the music is too raw for the pressing plant mastering people. That's
alright, we'll figure this out. Should be an amazing finished product!
So that's all for now, I've got a fire to sit by and some nog to gulp. Happy holidays everyone!

I can't believe I forgot to mention this last month, but October 2006 marks White Denim's five-year anniversary!
Sure, most labels put out 11 records in one year, not five, but I've never been one to rush things. So thanks to
everyone who helped make it a satisfying, successful endeavor, here's to five more!
Aufgehoben's new single is at the plant, if all goes on plan it could very well be delivered by Santa to our doorsteps.
Their new album 'Messidor' should be out before Thanksgiving, so look to scoop that up from Revolver or wherever you
usally snag Holy Mountain vinyl. Great stuff! They're working on another album now too, not sure where that will be
released, or when, but I'll be first in line. And to clarify on their Portugese appearance, it's on December 2nd. Book
your flights now!
Speaking of December, Pissed Jeans will be performing with Leprechaun Catering at Philadelphia's coziest new venue,
Johnny Brenda's, on December 8th. Come in and warm off for a bit! 'Male Plumage' has been getting a slew of positive
feedback, and rightfully so. Can't wait to see them jam it out on stage again!
And finally, those Pittsburgh pranksters Pay Toilets ended up in this month's Spin magazine, a small uncredited photo
of a bloodied Lingo and a cardboard Bush, as they normally appear on stage. Hello, bigtime!

Man, how is it October already? I barely dried off from the ocean and I already have to get started on my Christmas
list. Anyway, the cool air is welcomed, just as I hope this update will be!
Air Conditioning had a successful trip with FFH and Prurient lending hands on vocal and percussion duties, saw
them in Baltimore and it was like watching two beta fighting fish drown in a bowl of cereal. Need to decide for
yourself? If so, there's footage of their Cincinnati set on Youtube here.
Speaking of live music, I would've never believed that Aufgehoben would be flying to Portugal to perform at the
mindblowingly gorgeous Casa Da Musica in
Portugal, but I've since learned that truth is certainly stranger (and more pleasing) than fiction. I wish I could
say I'd be there, but I'll probably have to settle for a couple second-hand accounts of the performance and perhaps a faulty
podcast or two. Still, for anyone capable, I beg you to attend!
Aufgehoben's single should be out before Christmas, as well. Things are still on schedule. Should be a busy October,
and I haven't even figured out a decent costume yet!

Summer may be ending, but that doesn't mean there will be any hibernation at Camp White Denim! Here's what's
new:
In homage to 'Male Plumage', Leprechaun Catering will be DJing a party at The True Vine record shop in Baltimore!
It all goes down on September 7th, 8:30 pm. Velcro-unitard-rube-goldberg-gogo-club jams and innuit-porno-igloo-soul
grooves have been promised, and these guys deliver.
Air Conditioning will be touring along with Prurient and FFH in some sort of violent collaboration, starting this Friday. These dudes are all
serious freaks, check it out if you're nearby! Here's what I've gathered:
09/01 - Sudsy Malones in Cincinnati, OH w/ Burning Star Core
09/02 - Spooky Action Palace in St. Louis, MO
09/03 - Hall Mall in Iowa City, IA w/ Scapels, Binges
09/04 - 1133 W. Fulton in Chicago, IL w/ Bloodyminded
09/05 - Behind the Green Door in Detroit, MI
09/06 - 289 Kent Ave in Brooklyn, NY w/ Malkuth
That following Sunday, Air Conditioning will be joined by both Pissed Jeans and Pearls & Brass, which will probably
involve at least some sort of practical joke. That's at the Talking Head in Baltimore. And then next night, 9/11, Pissed
Jeans and Pearls & Brass trek it up to Northsix in Brooklyn, NY to perform with Boris. Just typing all that was enough
to exhaust me, so it should be a most interesting weekend. Can you imagine what it was like at Nazareth High School in the
90's when members of all these bands (except Boris) shared study halls and lunch? If not, let me just say it was pretty cool.

As a man of my word, the Leprechaun Catering LP is available now! It really looks and sounds amazing,
Leprechaun Catering come through so well on vinyl. Just head over to the catalog to order a copy.
Pearls and Brass are touring with Boris in September! I bet the word "riff" will be said at least eighty
thousand times during this excursion. I just wish I could be there to hear it!
Aufgehoben are set to release their next full-length album on Holy Mountain this October! Should be out
somewhat near the White Denim single, although the completion of the artwork will determine that. I've heard
both records and Aufgehoben exemplify crushing, heavy music now more than ever. And they may not want this revealed,
but the guys in the group are warm, friendly fellows! Who knew.
Pay Toilets are pretty much done as a band, from all reports I've gathered. I did manage to do some reminiscing of their
un-ironically bad live shows lately, as I've never had to deal with a worse-smelling cloud of smoke than when
they rolled into town. The record is still for sale, and comes with large recommendations!

Hope my American friends enjoyed the holiday weekend as much as myself, and that those across borders
are all having a good time too. Over the long weekend, I threw my frisbee so much it cracked in half!
Leprechaun Catering test pressings have been approved, this record will hit the shelves before August, I do
believe. Of course, I'll be the first to let you know when it happens, too. So excited!
Pissed Jeans have been playing out a bit lately, it's always a fun time. Our recent gigs can be most eloquently
summed up with this photo. Kids
these days!
Speaking of live Pissed Jeans shows, they'll be appearing at Foo Fest in Providence, RI on
July 15th with White Denim recording artists Pearls & Brass and Barnacled also on the bill. Should be a fantastic event!
Speaking of Barnacled, they're some of the newest players in the game of Myspace. Check out the new tracks and befriend
them already: http://www.myspace.com/barnacled
And while I'm dishing out links, check out this footage of Hair Police at Jeff the Pigeon from last month. Mike
Connelly told Matt Franco he felt like a poseur before playing the Pigeon, but their set was clearly the work of
true shredding professionals. Hope they come back soon! Hair Police @ Jeff the Pigeon

6/4/6! The neighbor of the day of the beast!
Like promised, here's a cut off the new Leprechaun Catering album: "Adult Carrot". Enjoy!
The covers look amazing and the vinyl's on its way. Very excited for this release.
Speaking of being excited, Air Conditioning recently recorded material for their next full-length album which shall
be released on Load Records. Can't wait to give that two-sided slab of hurt a listen once it's all mixed down.
Pearls & Brass do indeed hit the road again, this time leaving for three weeks or so starting next week, the specifics
can be found here.
Pissed Jeans just had a friendly trip to Louisville and Cleveland, thanks to the Pattersons for the floorspace
and Alexander T for the memories. He even videotaped Pissed Jeans and saved it on his website for all to enjoy.
And speaking of the Jeans, the gatefold LP vinyl version of 'Shallow' is now available from Parts Unknown, as is
the new 7" single from Sub Pop. Just enough to make me raise the roof.
That's pretty much it. I just missed an epic Hair Police set at Jeff the Pigeon, but luckily there's plenty more
action at the Pidge this summer to quell my jonesin'. See you sooner than not!

Where've we been! Well, yesterday I skateboarded to Ikea to get a frozen yogurt, but enough about me.
Leprechaun Catering will be performing this Wednesday the 12th at the Talking Head in their native Baltimore.
Come check it out if you're in town! 'Male Plummage' is in the finishing stages, with what looks like a
June release date. Mmmm hmmm!
Air Conditioning just dropped a ferocious new 12" platter with Landed on Hospital Productions. Not sure if it's
totally sold out yet, but if not, do yourself a favor and locate a copy! Air Conditioning has been bringing it
hard lately, especially at No Fun Fest and Jeff the Pigeon a few weeks ago. Cracked coconuts all over the floor.
It's been said that Pearls & Brass are gearing up for another tour in May, but May's coming awful quick. Hopefully
it's postponed, because I won't have anyone to throw frisbee with otherwise. 'The Indian Tower' is great!
With the next update, I'll have a cut off the upcoming Leprechaun Catering joint for download, and hopefully band
pages up for both them and Aufgehoben. It's hard to sit here and type when there's a world outside waiting to be discovered!

The cold wind's been keeping me inside for most of 2006 so far, but the White Denim posse is keeping things
hot! Let me fill you in.
Pearls & Brass are finishing up an extensive tour in the next couple weeks, complete with an appearance at
Arthur Ball last night. They recently got a pretty nice feature in the new issue of Arthur Magazine as well.
Wish I was at the ball! That's alright though, because I did get to enjoy what was possibly Mister Zero's last match
at the Chikara Pro Tag Team Grand Prix instead. I hope that if the Pearls came through your town you
bought them a shot of George Dickle and asked them questions about the Ultimate Warriors!
Air Conditioning, while laying low for the second half of 2005, are on track to bust down the door in 2006.
Besides their upcoming No Fun Fest performance, they have a handful of new records in the works, including a
new full-length and a split LP with Landed. Goodness gracious! They also have some other shows planned, I know
I'll be securing a van seat for their Providence gig next month. There are other things too, but I don't want to
prematurely let any cats out of bags. Just keep your eyes peeled.
It's the truth: Pissed Jeans will be working with Sub Pop Records for our next single and album. I
can hardly believe it myself! We've already recorded a new single, "Don't Need Smoke to Make Myself Disappear / Love Clown", which
should be released in the next few months, probably right after the public pools start opening up. We're very excited!
Barnacled 7" is all sold out on my end, but the band has a bunch of copies available. I'm wondering if they can stick me
in an empty bassoon case and fly me out to the West Coast with them for their upcoming tour this summer.
Menstruation Sisters single is nearly gone, too. Hurry up and snag one of the last copies! I'm in the single digits here.
I still throw it on at least once a week, even though the feedback makes me tilt my head sideways.
The Aufgehoben and Leprechaun Catering records are still in the finalizing stages, but will both be out in 2006,
Nazarean's honor. I guess that's it for now. See you at the Pigeon!

Aufgehoben will be performing live February 14th, 7:00 to 8:00 PM GMT on Resonance FM. Catch it on your dial at 104.4 fm if you're in the United
Kingdom, or do like me and listen to the live stream via www.resonancefm.com.

Starting off the new year with a big bowl of gnocchi! Things couldn't be brighter. Now, onto the news!
Aufgehoben have finished the recording for their White Denim single, and the CD-r is currently in my
laptop being burned as late Christmas presents for distant relatives. Gotcha! I do have the tracks though,
and they blew away my already lofty expectations. When my eyes stopped spinning, I was able to recall moments of Incapacitants
and Seven Minutes of Nausea in their whirlwind sound. An MP3 will be available shortly. The artwork is
still being pieced together, but I have no doubt it'll be worth the wait.
The Menstruation Sisters single has sold out on my end, but I should be getting half a dozen or so back from
Revolver. If you wanted a copy, it'll be back in the catalog in the next week or two! I also found two Air
Conditioning singles, so feel free to send an email if you'd like to snag one.
Pissed Jeans are fresh from a show-filled weekend. Thanks to everyone who helped, especially all the bands we
played with and Richie Cleaner
for letting me hitch a ride home. I never would've guessed it would be so nice to perform in front of actual
crowds!
Two dudes from the GTC met up with some like-minded folk to start the Motel Bible, a new band whose demo
has found plenty of time in my tape deck. You can listen for yourself at www.myspace.com/themotelbible.
They've got 78 friends as I type this; let's make it 79!
But what about Pearls & Brass? Well, they hit the road shortly, embarking on a path of 30+ shows in just as many days. I don't
expect Joel to leave the couch for at least a month when he returns home. Check out the dates at their site! www.pearlsandbrass.com
Leprechaun Catering are putting the finishing touches on their upcoming White Denim LP entitled 'Male Plummage'.
I'm gonna hang with them in early February to talk about artwork and dip some fondue. Do you have their Megaphone CD yet?
And for anyone in Northeast, I heartily recommend the upcoming Jeff the Pigeon soiree on Saturday, January 21st.
Both a homecoming for Air Conditioning's Matt Franco and a funeral for at least two cases of Miller Lite, the Pigeon
hosts Pearls & Brass, Pissed Jeans and Air Conditioning, with or without special guests. Yes, this is the place where
people get bit by dogs during bands and inhale far too many sparkler fumes.
Think snow!
